POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Bar Manager will oversee all bar operations, ensuring excellence in service, inventory management, staff development, and overall guest satisfaction. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of cocktails, wine, and spirits, as well as the ability to create an elevated, memorable experience for every guest ensuring full compliance with Massachusetts alcohol service laws and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, train, and mentor the bar team to deliver exceptional service and uphold LPM’s high standards.
  • Oversee daily bar operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, and ordering.
  • Develop and maintain a creative, high-quality beverage program, including cocktails, wines, and spirits.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety, health, and licensing regulations.
  • Collaborate with management on events, promotions, and seasonal beverage offerings.
  • Maintain cost controls, track KPIs, and optimize profitability without compromising guest experience.
  • Foster a positive, motivating environment that encourages professional growth and team engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with Massachusetts Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission (ABCC) regulations.
  • Enforce responsible alcohol service, including proper ID verification and legal drinking age requirements.
  • Maintain TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol certification standards for staff.
  • Ensure adherence to local health, safety, and licensing regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–5 years of experience in a Bar Manager or senior bar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and bar operations.
  • Experience with inventory management and POS systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
